Stuffed Snake Gourd Bharwa Gilki

Ingredients

  • 7 – 8 pieces of Snake Gourd
  • 2 tsp of Roasted Peanuts
  • 2 Dried Red Chilies
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1 tsp of Coriander Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ¼ tsp of Coriander Powder
  • ¼ tsp of Kalonji

Instructions

  • Slit the snake gourd from between and cut them into small pieces.
  • In a mixer add Roasted Peanuts, Coriander seeds and Dried Red Chili. Turn this into a coarse powder
  • In a bowl Add this powder onto the snake gourd.
  • Add Curd, Red chili powder, Turmeric powder, Kasturi methi and salt to it and give it a proper mix.
  • In a pan add Onions and stir fry them till they turn golden – brownish in colour
  • To it add mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, kalonji
  • Add the snake gourd in the pan and combine all the masala mixture together
  • Cover it with the lid and let it cook for 8 – 10 minutes
  • Serve Hot!!!
