Dudhi Green Peas Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi) cut into medium cubes
- 1 Cup Green peas
- 1 tsp Oil
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 medium Onion grated
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- ½ tsp Cumin powder
- 1 cup Tomato puree
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and onions and sauté till lightly browned.
- Add ginger paste and ¼ cup water, mix well and cook till dry.
- Add coriander powder, cumin powder and tomato puree and mix well. Add turmeric powder and mix. Add red chilli powder, bottle gourd, green peas and ½ cup water and mix.
- Add green peas, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well, put the lid on and cook till 2-3 whistles.
- Open the lid when the pressure reduces completely and serve hot.
